Freedom Quarter Horse Farms is owned
and operated by Janice Miller. Located on 40 irrigated acres in Beasley Texas
the Farm focuses on raising high quality cutting horse prospects. Janice
believes the feeding program is crucial to raising fine horses and cuts no
corners with her program. Summer grass is jigs and Bermuda, winter is rye mixed
with oats and wheat. All mares in foal and wet mares are fed Compete, and all
the other horses enjoy Strategy. Every horse on the farm keeps a current cogins
certificate and all shots, including the West Nile Vaccine. Janice imprints
each new foal, and begins halter training while they are still on the mare. By
the time they are old enough to saddle they are willing and eager to please.
Janice maintains a regular farrier program to keep their feet healthy, and the
horses trained for handling.
The broodmares include 2 own daughters of
Smart Little Lena and an own daughter of Bob Acre Doc. Janice breeds to proven
studs, including Christys Acre, CD Genuine, Widows Freckles and Little Pat Uno.
High quality horses, with the breeding for great cutting horse prospects, are
her specialty.
